However, there are some players who have no idea what they are doing, and as such make quite a few mis-steps along the way of game play. There are a few things that players need to know, such as common mistakes that they might encounter while playing throughDigimon Survive, and why they are not a good idea.

7Wrong Positioning

Surprisingly, the positioning of a player’s Digimon is incredibly important when it comes to the turn based battling in the game. Where the player’s Digimon are positioned plays an important role, such as which Digimon takes more damage, and so on and so forth.

Oftentimes, players will put their Digimon in any position they please -such as putting a Digimon with less health in the frontline- and wonder why they are struggling. It is amazing how just a simple rearrangement of who goes where can do wonders for a player’s success in the battles they fight.

6Making Choices Without Thinking

There are multiple choices that a player will have to take inDigimon Survive. This is not just choices on which teams to take into what battles, or which Digimon for a player to focus on building up - there will be multiple choices in dialogue, which can affect game play.

Most first time players ofDigimon Survivemight treat the visual novel aspect of the game a bit lighter than the battle aspect. In fact, depending on what choices a player makes, one of their favorite Digimon could get killed off, be forced into a less impressive digivolution, or even worse.

5Forgetting to Use Free Battles

As it turns out, there are multiple Free Battles within the game - Free Battles is a specific game mode which, as the name suggests, is free to enter. Many players may not realize that these Free Battles are one of the best ways for a player to recruit new Digimon.

However, a player might not realize that theycan not just fight their way through. They will have to talk to the new Digimon; depending on the things that they say, the Digimon can either leave them or be recruited onto their team.

4Misusing the Mature Enlightenment Slabs

There is something that every player needs to know when it comes to their Digimon - it is a free ticket into digivolving onechosen Digimon into the Champion form. This is something that is irreversible; a player must choose carefully who to digivolve.

Most players who get a Mature Enlightenment Slab will end up spending the first one on a useless Digimon that will be shoved into the backburner in the late game. It would be a good idea for a player to take some time to figure out which Digimon would do best if they were digivolved, and which ones would not.

3Splitting the Party Apart

Thanks to the turn based, grid like map, it is easy for a player to end up splitting their part of Digimon apart and forcing everyone to go in separate paths. This is, by far, one of the worst ideas when it comes to the success of the team.

As it turns out, splitting up the party of Digimon is a terrible idea. This is because, once the party is split apart, it will be much easier for Digimon to be picked apart, on top of it being much more difficult for a player to survive a battle.

2Forgetting a Healer

Playersneedto have a Digimon dedicated solely to healing in their team. Many players think they can get by without a healer, but that is not right - the enemies will be dealing high amounts of damage, and any amount of survivability is necessary.

Usually, it is a good idea for a player to have at least one healer in the team, and at least one Digimon with high amounts of damage. This make it easier to burst down the enemieswhile simultaneously ensuring the player can survive to the end.

1Wasting Stat Boosts

Luckily, a player can temporarily boost the stats of their Digimon as they go through the game and prepare for battle. A player can do this by talking to their Digimon, which will give them a stat boost.

However, due to the fact that these stat boosts are temporary, many players end up wasting them on a useless turn. As such, a player needs to wait until they areready to unleash their most powerful attack(and be fighting a particularly tough enemy, or a boss fight) before these stat boosts can be used to their full potential.
