Outside of the game, fan art flourishes, and some incredibly well made stickers featuring the popular villager Ankha are making the rounds now. A take on the iconic Chiquita logo, these “Ankhquita” stickers by buenos.adidas feature the popular Egyptian cat who wears a Uraeus headdress (a cobra depicting the goddess Wadjet), a symbol of royalty in Ancient Egypt. Ankha is consistently ranked as atop tier villager inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsfor her unique look and snooty temperament. Ankha never smiles, which is something these banana stickers get right, showing her with a muted expression.
The stickers also feature Ankha’s amiibo card villager number and a symbol indicating she is a cat type. Nice little touches for those in the know. Little details like that are a fun wink to fans of the franchise that might otherwise be missed. A fanmade sweater based on the"Mom’s Hand-Knit Sweater" item inNew Horizonshas a similar kind of appeal. To some it might just be a cute sweater, but it will be immediately recognizable to fans ofNew Horizons.
It might not just beAnimal Crossingfan circles that get to enjoy the creative experience, asBuild-a-Bear looks to be collaborating withAnimal Crossingin the near future. WithAnimal Crossinghaving gone mainstream enough, soon anyone will be able to walk into a store and create a custom villager plushie. If Build-a-Bear is paying attention, the company will hopefully include an Ankha plushie option, she’s popular, has a cool design, and she apparently runs a successful banana empire.
