Fans have been by and large enjoying the new diving update introduced in version 1.3.0 ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, but apparently it has introduced an incredibly annoying bug regarding the zen-style bridges in the game.
The new update forAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsreleased a few days ago, and allows playersto dawn a wetsuitand catch a host of new sea creatures. But every once in a while, changing or updating something in in a game’s code leads to unforeseen consequences elsewhere.

As over dozens have shared on Twitter and elsewhere, the update seems to have introduced an issue that creates an invisible wall in the middle of zen bridges that keeps players from crossing it and accessing the rest of their island.
All hope is not lost for players facing this glitch, however. Aside from just ordering Tom Nook to demolish the bridge, if the player opens up the camera tool, it will allow them to cross the bridge without any problems.
Many are pointing out that their zen bridges are on the third ground height tier of their island. Since the zen bridges seem to have the highest point out of the 8 bridge types, it’s possible it is a boundary issue introduced by sea diving bringing the boundary box a level lower than the previous lowest level of the game.
Nintendo has likely been made aware of the issue either via Twitter or their support forums, so hopefully a fix is not too far away.
In the meantime, players can use the camera exploit to cross their bridges, and hopefully still find some enjoyment in the new added content like new seasonal items, the new ability to trade in Nook Miles for items, andnew characters like Pirate Gulliver.
Players should also be on the lookout for fan-favorite Pascal, who will trade them multiple kinds of mermaid goodiesand pearls in exchange for scallops. Just remember that he only appears once per day.
