While the game wasn’t a buggy mess itself, Mundfish’s first outing gave many Xbox players nightmares with broken achievements and thePC version was missing a ray tracing mode at launch. The main feature of the update will give players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S the option to enjoy bashing and shooting their way through hostile soviet robots at 120Hz.Atomic Heartoriginally launched on both current-gen platformsrunning at a dynamic 4K resolution and a smooth 60 frames-per-second; a more than sufficient performance for most console gamers. This new 120Hz mode will undoubtedly compromise the resolution a bit, which is the case for most modern AAA games, but it’s still a nice option for players seeking an even smootherAtomic Heartexperience.
The major patch also aims to further fix the plethora of brokenachievements for Xbox players, though Mundfish notes that players may need to start a new game to re-trigger the conditions for the bugged achievements to unlock. It’s currently unclear if this means players must meet the requirements again or if starting a new game automatically unlocks bugged achievements from previous playthroughs. Additionally, Patch 1.4.0.0 will provide players more options to adjust the HUD and the size of subtitles.
