In DecemberFortnite’s infamous Zero Point was exposed as part of the start of Season 5. Since then,Fortnite’s featured crossover after crossover, as Agent Jonesy collected the “greatest hunters” across all reality. NowFortnite’s ready to reveal one of its biggest crossovers yet.Fortniteand DC comics are partnering to bring Batman back for more. But even further, DC is planning an event of its own, putting out aBatman/Fortnite: Zero Pointcomic starting in April.

Batman/Fortnite: Zero Pointis planned to be a six-issue mini-series in which Batman will travel through a tear in reality to visitFortnite. Along the way, Batman will encounterFortnitecharacters including Renegade Raider, Fishstick, Bandolier, and others. Other DC characters will also be involved, includingCatwomanand Harley Quinn. Writing theBatman/Fortnite: Zero Pointcomic will be Christos Gage, best known for his work onBuffy the Vampire Slayer,Avengers Academy, andWildcats. Joining Gage on the project and offering up their art will be Reilly Brown, known for theirDeadpoolwork, Christian Duce, Nelson DeCastro, and John Kalisz. The six-issue series will also feature a variety of variant covers featuring the talent of Jim Lee, Arthur Adams, Amanda Conner, and others.

This isn’t the first time thatFortnite’s crossed over into comics before, of course. During the recentFortnitecrossover with Marvel, for example, several major comic books briefly showed characters being pulled through a dimensional rift. Marvel’s also did variant covers featuringFortnitecharacters in 2020.

WhileFortniteclearly sees value in crossing over into comics, now partnering with the two biggest comic publishers in the world, it likely has loftier goals. Partnering with DC and Marvel now for comics could mean bigger partnerships for DC and Marvel movies in the future. Itworked out that withStar Wars, after all.Fortnite’s crossovers are likely to only get bigger from here.

Fortniteis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
