The firstseason ofAttack on Titanis incredible in terms of direction and animation. The high quality of the first season is responsible for drawing in fans. It helped viewers to learn about Titans and the main characters who were going to be involved in the series for a long time.
The biggest problem with the first season is its pacing. It took the anime 25 episodes to reach chapter 34, which proved to be just a little too slow for some fans. Otherwise, it was an amazingAttack on Titanseasonthat set a glorious foundation. Given how future seasons built upon this premise to keep fans engaged, it’s easy to see why this first season is so important for the eventual narrative brilliance that fans would enjoy in the series.

The third season is divided into two parts. The first part saw the Survey Corps overthrowing the current regime, which changed a lot of things. After the fake King was removed, the Survey Corps named Historia as the rightful ruler of Paradis Island.
The seasonalso focused on Levi Ackermanand his uncle, Kenny, who was an infamous murderer. This turned out to be the last confrontation between the two as Kenny succumbed to his injuries, which he had sustained while trying to help the Survey Corps. After the incident, Eren finally perfected his hardening ability, which allowed Erwin to move on to the next step of his plan.

While this season has some issues, the plot revelations and an entertaining civil war shine more light on the plot. More importantly, it sets the stage for the second part of Season 3, which showsAttack on Titanat its very best.
In the second part ofAttack on TitanSeason 4, fans finally found out Levi Ackerman’s fate. It was truly sad to see a fan favorite go out in such a manner. A lot of people were extremely disappointed that Levi was injured so heavily that it would’ve been a challenge for him to participate in future battles, only for him to play a major role in the Battle for Heaven and Earth to stop Eren in his tracks.

This part also saw Eren tricking Zeke and finally using the Rumbling to awaken the Wall Titans. With the Titans by his side,Eren sets out to destroy all humansexcept for the people living on Paradis Island. The fourth and final season ofAttack on Titanis by far the most exciting one. The first part of season four saw Eren infiltrating the land of Marley. He stayed in Marley and provided the Survey Corps with intel about their army and the Titans. In this part, Eren also got his hands on the War Hammer Titan, which increased his power even further.
With the information provided by Eren, the Survey Corps were able to invade Marley and take Zeke and Eren back to Paradis Island. However, the invasion of Marley proved to be costly as Sasha was killed by Gabi Braun. This part alsofeatured the rise of the notorious Yeagerists, the central antagonist group who were fiercely loyal to Eren and would do everything in his power to help his genocide succeed.

Once again, the focus was on Eren and his actions, which could potentially wipe out almost the entire population of the earth. Following the activation of the Rumbling, countless people died.
Meanwhile, Eren’s friends tried to come up with a plan to dissuade him from completing his plan. Armin and Reiner tried their luck, but it was to no avail. The special also had an emotional send-off for Hange Zoe. She was named as the successor to Erwin Smith, and she managed to fill the space superbly. It also gave screen time to the important side characters as they made their choice whether to go along with Eren’s plan or stop him. Overall, the special episode was extremely impressive. The story progressed at a steady pace, and MAPPA, as always, delivered a gripping cinematic experience.

Second (And Final) Special

The wait for this special was excruciating, with many people considering the series to have one of the worst release schedules in anime history. The Battle of Heaven and Earth is a pivotal moment in the series, with the Survey Corps finally giving it their all in a battle against Eren where everyone pushes themselves to the very limit in a bid to take their friend down. Even Mikasa has to admit that Eren needs to die, landing the final blow as his threat is finally negated. Before his demise, Eren talks to all of his friends one last time and justifies his actions, ending the series on a melancholic note that shows how war will continue to thrive and the Anomaly will lead to another batch of humans in the future rediscovering the power of the Titans.

The second part of the third season is primarily focused on the Shiganshina arc. The Survey Corps led by Erwin finally started their plan to reclaim the Shiganshina District. Erwin, Levi, and multiple other members of the Survey Corps were outside the wall, where they faced the threat of the Beast Titan.
While, inside the walls, Eren and the others had to fight against the Armored Titan and the Colossal Titan. This part contains one of the greatest final speeches, which was given by Erwin as he led the Survey Corps toward certain death.
