V Risingspans multiple genres, selling itself as a vampire-themed survival,action role-playing game. It spent two years in Early Access and was released fully in 2024. Taking on the role of a recently awoken vampire, the player explores the game world in a hack-and-slash adventure, combining general combat with specialized vampire powers.
Weapons inV Risingare organized into levels and generally follow the same pattern of upgrades across different types. For example, a low-level sword is made of bone, which can then be upgraded to the next level. As the player progresses through the game they will unlock additional materials such as copper, iron, and dark silver. Each of these has a corresponding tier of weapon that the player can craft.

The Reinforced Bone Sword is the first sword upgrade thatV Risingplayers will craft. It is a minor upgrade over the basic bone sword that the player crafts as their firstweapon in the game.
With its damage bonus to vegetation, the Reinforced Bone Sword is a little on the strange side at first glance. Until the player realizes that swords can be used to gather materials as well as chop up enemies.
It could be argued that it isn’t worth crafting any swords inV Risinguntil the player gets to level 9 and can use the Copper Sword. This is the first decent weapon in the sword lineup.
This is a very simple sword to craft, although the player is going to need to learn how to make copper ingots before they can craft this weapon. It is also good forfarming materialsdue to the vegetation damage bonus.
The Merciless Copper Sword inV Risingis a minor upgrade over the basic Copper Sword. That being said, it does have around 10% more power, so it may be worth crafting. Especially if the player has enough resources that they don’t need to use for anything else.
The player will need to find the blueprint for this item before they can craft it. This can be purchased from the Shady Book Dealer for just 40 copper coins, which is pretty cheap and might be worth the investment.
As long as the player has access to Iron Ingots, the Iron Sword is well worth crafting at level 15 inV Rising. It offers a decent damage upgrade over any of the copper swords and is given as a free recipe.
The Iron Sword is used as a component for the Merciless Iron Sword. This means that materials invested in crafting the Iron Sword won’t be wasted. Overall, this is a pretty handy weapon and the first of the serious swords inV Rising.
The Merciless Iron Sword is the first sword to enable a new player ability in the form of the shockwave skill. However, compared to the swords already covered forV Rising, it has quite high crafting requirements, with Greater Blood Essence being the most difficult material to source for this recipe.
The player will need to buy the recipe for the Merciless Iron Sword inV Rising. It can be purchased from the Rural Book Merchant for 64 silver coins.
The Dark Silver Sword is the first epic sword thatV Risingplayers will gain access to, and this is an excellent upgrade over previous swords mentioned already. Unfortunately, it isn’t the simplest weapon to craft, even though the blueprint is given for free.
The player will need to have access to Dark Silver Ingots to craft this weapon. These will be hard for the player to farm at level 21, so they may need to wait a few levels until a little later in the game to craft a Dark Silver Sword.
The Sanguine sword is one of the end-game weapons inV Rising. It takes a player-crafted Dark Silver Sword as its main component. The player will need to purchase the blueprint for this sword from the Treasure Hunter Trade Post for 260 Goldsun Coins.
Finding the Flawless Sapphire and Primal Blood Essence to craft the Sanguine Sword may take some time, as these are rare crafting materials. However, this is one of the best weapons in the game so it might be worth spending some time farming for the required materials.
The Gravecaller is the best sword inV Rising, and the only legendary tier one. With its extra critical strike, life leech, and movement speed bonuses, it is a significant upgrade over any other sword in the game. It is excellent for both PvP andPvE combat.
Unfortunately, crafting this weapon means farming for a Legendary Artifact Weapon Shard by completing Tier 2 rift incursions. It may take some time to loot this shard, as it is a rare drop. The player will also need to have crafted the Sanguine Sword before the Gravecaller, as it is used as a component for the blueprint.
