Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda and its parent company ZeniMax Media is already paying off. Microsoft wasted no timeaddingDoom Eternalto Game Pass, and now it seems it has some collections of Bethesda-published games in development for its Xbox Series X and S consoles.
The ESRB has issued ratings for two separate collections of Bethesda-published games. The first isDishonored & Prey: The Arkane Collection, and the second is theWolfenstein Alt History Collection. TheXbox Series consolesare the only platforms listed for either game, suggesting that they will be Xbox-exclusive, and we know that four games will be included in each collection. Specific titles are mentioned in the ESRB listings, but it’s easy to make a guess as to which games will be featured.

For theDishonored & Prey: The Arkane Collection, the most likely scenario is that the collection will consist ofDishonored,Dishonored 2,Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, and the2017Preyreboot. Since the collection is named after Arkane, it’s unlikely that the 2006Preyvideo game will be part of the lineup, though it’s still technically possible, so fans will want to standby for an official announcement to be sure.
Meanwhile, it’s even easier to determine the games that will likely be featured in theWolfenstein Alt History Collection. The Xbox Series X version has since been leaked on the Microsoft Store as well, confirming that it will includeWolfenstein: The New Order,Wolfenstein: The Old Blood,Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, andWolfenstein: Youngblood.
It will be interesting to see if these collections will see the games optimized for Xbox Series X consoles, or if they will just be ports of the existing Xbox One versions of the games. After all, theXbox Series X is backward compatible with Xbox One, and so theoretically, these collections could easily just be re-releases of the older versions of the games. But then again, the games being backward compatible already makes collections like these releasing specifically for the Xbox Series X and S consoles seem a little redundant, so it’s hard to say either way.
But if they’re brand new, Xbox Series X versions of these games, they would presumably be added to the Xbox Game Pass lineup as well. Perhaps these are even the otherXbox Series X launch titlesthat Microsoft has teased for the console’s November 10 launch, but that’s just speculation at this time. ESRB rating leaks are almost always reliable, so fans should expect an official announcement sooner rather than later.
