It seems that the next bigHogwarts Legacyupdate will finally fix a bug that’s been plaguing the PlayStation 5 version of the game since launch. While no story DLC or anything like that has been announced for the game yet, developer Avalanche Software has supportedHogwarts Legacysince launch with updates that have aimed to address some of the game’s lingering technical problems and other bugs.While it launched in an extremely polished state,Hogwarts Legacystill has its fair share of glitches and bugs, not uncommon for a large open world game of its nature. One such bug has been exclusively impacting PlayStation 5 gamers, making it so their robes constantly look dirty with no way to clean them. Wood recently took to Twitter to tease fans about the next bigHogwarts Legacyupdate, revealing that he was reviewing over 30 pages of patch notes. A fan then responded to Wood’s post to say that they hope the new update will patch out the PS5 dirty clothes bug inHogwarts Legacy, to which Wood responded, “We’ve been doing some laundry.” While not 100% confirmation that theHogwarts LegacyPS5 dirty clothes bug will be fixed with the next update, that’s certainly what’s being implied.
It’s unclear exactly when this nextHogwarts Legacyupdate will deploy, but once it does, fans should be able to check out the patch notes for themselves to see what’s changed besides the PS5 dirty clothes bug. It’s possible that the update will be dropping alongside thePS4 and Xbox One versions ofHogwarts Legacyon May 5, but it’s also possible that it will come a bit later on. Whatever the case may be, it should be a big weekend for the open worldHarry Potteraction-RPG.
Besides the debut of the PS4 and Xbox One versions ofHogwarts Legacy, fans of the game also have a chance to get some free cosmetic items. By tuning in to Twitch streams this weekend,Hogwarts Legacyplayers can get Merlin’s Cloakas well as the Charms Professor set via Twitch Drops. Even those that don’t have the game yet can claim these rewards.
Looking ahead, there’s still the Nintendo Switch version ofHogwarts Legacyto look forward to, and from there, it’s anyone’s guess as to what’s next for the game. It’s possible that Avalanche will move forward withHogwarts LegacyDLC, but it’s also possible that the plan will be to forge ahead with a proper sequel. For now, Avalanche and Warner Bros. are undoubtedly focused on the PS4, Switch, and Xbox One ports of the game and fixing its lingering bugs.
Hogwarts Legacyis out now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming May 5 and a Switch version dropping July 25.
