The story takes place after the events of 2019’sModern Warfareand follows the journey of Captain Price and the other members of Task Force 141. Fans whofinish the campaign ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2get bonus rewards in the rest of the game that include various XP boosts, cosmetic items, four operators, and more. It looks like Activision’s decision to offer early access to the campaign as a pre-order bonus was a success.

Not counting open betas, the all-time peak player count is the third highest inCall of Dutyhistory on Steam, withBlack Opsbeing the highest full release at 118,593 simultaneous users.
