Leaker MWIIIntel claimed thatModern Warfare 3will have an in-game event titled “The Boys vs The Seven,” which will presumably feature new cosmetic items derived from the popular show’s characters. This crossover will include event challenges for both the multiplayer and Zombies modes.
While most crossovers in the game only feature a cosmetic bundle, likeModern Warfare 3’sforthcomingWalking Deadcrossover, this seems to be a much more extensive collaboration, with the event likely lasting a week or more so that players have time to complete its challenges. By completing these challenges, players can expect to unlock various cosmetic items such as player skins, weapon skins, and calling cards that are The Boys-themed. Since the event is titled “The Boys vs The Seven,” players can also expect to see references to The Seven, another superhero group who are arch enemies to The Boys.
Modern Warfare 3has enjoyed record-breaking engagementfor theCall of Dutyfranchise, and this event can be expected to only help its numbers. Its throwback maps from 2009’sModern Warfare 2, along with its return to more fluid movement mechanics, have been a hit with manyCall of Dutyfans.
