Fans of Activision’s long-runningCall of Dutyfranchise are currently waiting for its next entry to release on November 13, and today it was confirmed thatBlack Ops Cold Warwill have ray tracing support. Before then,Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis continuing to see new content, with its latest playlist update adding multiple game modes across all platforms.

The base game forModern Warfarereceived two playlists today, according to a Tweet by Infinity Ward: Boots on the Ground War, a variant of large-scale 32 v 32 battles with no lethal vehicles; and abrand-new mode called Search and Rescuethat combines elements from the Kill Confirmed and Search and Destroy modes. Operation: Brimstone inModern Warfare’s Special Ops mode, which first released in November 2019, has also been modified.

Meanwhile, the battle royaleCall of Duty: Warzonealso received a playlist update today. Teams of four can now access thePlunder: Blood Money mode previously seen in Junethat lets players collect money for every kill they get, regardless of whether the opponent had anything. However, basic Plunder Quads has been removed to make room for this returning game mode.

Playlists being regularly cycled in and out of the game, with new modes like Search and Rescue sprinkled in over time, are just one way that Infinity Ward attempts to keepModern Warfarefresh for its players from week to week. New limited-time cosmetics are also released in theCall of DutyStore on a regular basis, though this week the developers brought backModern Warfare’s popular Kawaii Cat Bundle for Mara.

More substantial updates are also constantly in development for bothModern WarfareandWarzone. Activision’s popular battle royale has received a particularly large amount of attention with new mechanics likesubway stations seemingly in the works forWarzone, and it even served as the place whereBlack Ops Cold Warwas officially revealed to the world.

The highly-anticipated follow-up to 2010’sCall of Duty: Black Opshas started to dominate much of the conversation around the franchise, as many are looking forward to shaking things up with a new title by Treyarch and Raven Software now that the current entry has been out for over a year. However, that doesn’t meanCall of Duty: Modern Warfareis finished offering its fans content like playlist updates.
