Call of Duty: Modern Warfarefans have been waiting weeks to get some official details on the rumored Warzone battle royale mode. However, Activision has yet to make the reveal, and some are growing impatient. Fans have started scouring the existingModern Warfarecontent for Warzone clues, and some think that the description of a new bundle may even contain a nod to the rumored new battle royale mode.
As pointed out by Gaming Intel, the Tomogunchi bundle inCall of Duty: Modern Warfaremay hint at Warzone. The description for theTomogunchi bundlereads: “Dinosaurs, fire-breathing dragons, and an evolving watch that will have you gaming thewarzone.” It’s quite possible this is just a coincidence, but it’s an odd choice of words, especially if theModern Warfarebattle royale mode is titled Warzone as previously leaked.

Whether or not this Tomogunchi bundle description is hinting at Warzone remains to be seen. However, fans reading so much into things like this is a sign of their growing impatience. Since Warzone leaked weeks ago, fans have been expecting news on it any day now, only for each rumored release date to come and pass with no sign of the mode. ManyModern Warfarefans wereexpecting the Warzone release date to be March 3, and when it didn’t show up in the latest update, it caused “#Warzone” to start trending on Twitter asCall of Dutyenthusiasts voiced their displeasure.
Since theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareWarzone release date wasn’t March 3 as some predicted, the next rumored release date is Tuesday, March 10. March 10 is the date that’s been claimed by some more credibleCall of Dutyleakers, and so it seems like the most likely scenario at this point in time. However, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up, as Activision still has yet to make any official announcements at the time of this writing.
It’s possible thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfarefans will have to wait longer for Warzone to be added to the game. However, with it already implemented enough for players to be able toglitch into Warzone lobbies, it seems like a release is going to come sooner rather than later.
