Netflix’s biggest hit has to beStranger Things. The Duffer Brothers' sci-fi horror series has smashed streaming records, earned widespread critical acclaim, and launched the careers of some of Hollywood’s brightest new stars. Thefirst part ofStranger ThingsSeason 4is now available to stream on Netflix, and to celebrate, Microsoft is giving away customXbox Series Sconsoles based on the show.
TheStranger ThingsXbox console is made to look like a 1980s cassette player that was left in the Upside Down. For those who may not be familiar with the show, the Upside Down is an alternate dimension that’s home to all kinds of bizarre and dangerous creatures, including thefranchise’s iconic Demogorgon. Fittingly, the Xbox Series S console looks like it’s been put through the ringer, and it even has tentacles enveloping it that are not unlike the tentacles used by Season 4 villain Vecna.

Another detail thatStranger Thingsfans may notice besides the Vecna tentacles that are on theXbox Series Sconsole and its controller is a Hellfire Club sticker on top of the console. For those who have yet to watchStranger ThingsSeason 4, the Hellfire Club is aDungeons & Dragonsclub at the local Hawkins high school. The Hellfire Club plays a key role in the latest season of the show, so those who have yet to binge it should check it out to learn more.
As far as the console goes, it will be given away by Microsoft at some point, though the contest has not started at the time of this writing. The way Microsoft usually gives away custom Xbox consoles is through Twitter, where those who are following the official Xbox account and re-tweet the correct post get an entry into the sweepstakes. There has been at least one instance of someonewinning a custom Xbox console and failing to claim their prize in time, so anyone that does throw their hat in the ring will want to keep an eye on their inbox in the weeks ahead.
This is far from the first time thatStranger Thingshas found itself tied to the video game industry. Netflix has released officialStranger Thingsvideo game adaptations, and the franchise has crossed over with existing video games, likeDead by DaylightandFar Cry 6. Considering the show’s popularity, it’s highly likely that even moreStranger Thingsvideo game content is on the way.
In fact, a leak suggests thatEleven fromStranger Thingsmay be added to the roster of playable characters in the upcomingMultiVersusfighting game, though that remains to be seen. For now,Stranger Thingsfans can binge-watch Season 4 and keep an eye out for when the contest for this custom Xbox console goes live.
