The official patch notes for Update 7.1.0.3 indicate that the developers have improved matchmaking for Competitive Crucible matches at higher tiers. On the topic of Crucible-related fixes, the update also addressed an issue where several players couldn’t access Trials of Osiris during the introductory quest and also fixed the drop rate of Adept weapons from a 7-win Flawless card. The update also resolved an issue with catching the required Exotic Whispering Mothcarp fish forDestiny 2’s upcoming Exotic Weapon quest.
The 7.1.0.3 update also introduced a much-needed spawn location change toDestiny 2’s new Ghosts of the Deep dungeon, where players could respawn outside the playable zone in the final encounter. Several fixes to the commendation screen were also made, as some players couldn’t access the page after using the Wish Wall in the Last Wish raid and after finishing Deep Dive activities. Other changes include fixes to the Titan Exotic Khepri’s Horn’s returning wave now damaging enemies properly, and corrections to the perk description of Warlock’s Exotic Cenotaph Mask.
As for weapons, Sweet Business and Telesto projectiles will no longer damage enemies through walls and other geometric objects, and the Bump in the Night Rocket Launcher pattern is no longer locked behind a seasonal entitlement. More importantly, the patch addresses the Hollow Denial weapon causing sensitivity episodes for players with Semicircular Canal Dehiscence.
The patch is significant for player experience and the stability of the game. However, the work is far from over, as newer issues likeDestiny 2’s bugged Warlock aspectare often popping up. Players can rest assured that Bungie will announce more updates in the future to fix these issues.
