Xur has returned again toDestiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. One fan favorite exotic weapon appears to be acting up again as theTelesto fusion rifle is bugged after the latestDestiny 2update. The weapon has a long history with breaking portions of the game, so it appears that the game is getting a little revenge for all of the crashes and strange behaviors inflicted upon it.
In response to therecent uptick inDestiny 2server related issues, Bungie’s latest weekly blog shed some light on the behind the scenes process. The studio is currently looking into resolving the instability issues but warned players that it likely won’t be a quick fix. Bungie is planning on making incremental progress in order to help reduce the chances of causing greater problems with the servers.

For now, the weekend merchant Xur has made a return to the world ofDestiny 2. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of June 15, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Over the next few days, Xur can be found in his tree on Nessus.
From the Director, head to Nessus and load into Watcher’s Grave. Run towards the back of the zone where a massive tree is found. Jump up until players find the huge branch where the merchant is hanging out.
Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary toacquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.
Exotic Perk:
Abyssal Extractors - Void-damage kills increase ability energy recharge rate.
Voidwalkers may want to take a look at this exotic this week as it not only has a very high and well distributed stat roll, but the exotic perk is also very easy to trigger.
Orpheus Rig - Hunter leg armor
Uncanny Arrows - Provides ability energy for each target tethered by Deadfall anchors. Moebius Quiver has an additional shot.
Similar to the Warlock’s exotic, the Orpheus Rig also comes with a very high roll and a solid distribution of stats. While these exotics may not be quite as strong as they used to be, it’s certainly worth a look for Nightstalker Hunters.
Helm of Saint-14 - Titan helmet
Starless Night - Targets that enter Ward of Dawn are blinded, while allies that pass through gain a Void overshield. Guarding with Sentinel Shield blinds nearby targets.
This week, the Titan exotic has the lowest stat roll this week, and it also comes with a higher than necessary mobility stat as well. While the exotic certainly has its uses, this one can be passed over.

Exotic Weapon
For old schoolDestinyplayers, the Crimson will look similar to the classic Red Death exotic auto rifle. The Crimson hand cannon is unique compared to other weapons in this class thanks to its intrinsic perk known as Banned Weapon as it gives the gun a three round burst. It’s unique perk, Cruel Remedy, heals the player after killing an enemy while a precision kill also refills the magazine.
Ultimately, this is worth a pickup for those who don’t have it for the healing effect alone. It works wonders in activities with lots of enemies to target and can even be a lifesaver in Crucible game modes as well. The weapon only gets better with the catalyst so for those who do not yet have this, pick it up.

Since Season 16 removed the Presage and Harbinger exotic missions,Xur is also selling both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale with randomized rolls. Players should visit him each weekend as he’ll be carrying different rolls.
