Part of the appeal of theDestinyfranchise is to continue making a player’s character stronger. This could be through the game’s power level or through collecting new and better gear. What’s interesting is that even continually raising the power level, doesn’t necessarily mean players are going to walk over difficult missions and activities. In order to work around this fact, players arealways on the look out for glitches or cheesespots to make things faster or easier. Earlier in the week, players discovered a way to cheese The Corrupted Grandmaster Nightfall, however, there’s an even easier way to now make this work.
The latest discovery comes from theDestiny 2subReddit where a member called Phoenix_RIde modified a previous strategy for getting through The Corrupted Nightfall on Grandmaster difficulty using the God Mode glitch as a Sentinel Titan. One thing to keep in mind that the weekly reset is quickly approaching so interested players won’t have a ton of time to take advantage of this skip until this particular Nightfall is again featured.

This new version of the God Mode glitch attempts to simplify the way to utilize it. So after initially loading into the mission, players should immediately turn around and run back through the doorway to the Awoken statue. Jump on top of the statue and then the goal is to get through the opening at the top, which may be the most difficult part of this task. Phoenix utilized a technique called sparrow flying, an act of continually rotating the sparrow in order to gain more height.
After getting through the hole in the roof, players should head to the right and jump down on a nearby platform to Harbinger’s Seclude. Next, players should turn back around and follow a very specific path. Naturally, check out the video for the specific path. After making it to another hole in the roof, the player uses the Ward of Dawn super as they’re falling through and as the Rheasilvia checkpoint loads, they swing their sword to cancel the animation.
This triggers the glitch and also puts them back at the start of the strike. At this point, the damage they receive is significantly reduced as the game thinks they’re still protected by Ward of Dawn provided they don’t pop their super again. For a difficult challenge like Grandmaster, this added protection comes in handy. It’s a little different and a bit faster thanthe original video from Cheese Forever, but now players have a couple options for tackling this mission.
It’s unknown if this glitch is significant enough for Bungie to spend the resources on fixing it, especially with how precise players have to be in order to even activate it. Following thedelay to the anticipated Beyond Light expansionand the amount of work that Bungie is facing, it seems unlikely the studio would divert any developers to close this loophole any time soon.
Destiny 2is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
