Blizzard has shared a list of fixes that it’s making based on issues from theDiablo 4early access beta for the upcoming open beta. The launch ofDiablo 4’s early access beta this past weekend was perhaps rockier than Blizzard may have expected. Early on, the beta featured lengthy queues to play, frequent disconnects, and a variety of technical issues. Blizzard is doing what it can to improveDiablo 4prior to tomorrow’s open beta launch and has shared some of what it has fixed.

Diablo 4will be launching in early June and two March betas will be the only opportunity to try the game prior. Last weekend,Blizzard hosted the firstDiablo 4beta, exclusive to pre-orderers and those who were given a code. Despite early technical problems, theDiablo 4early access beta saw dramatic improvements over the weekend. Now the second beta, the open beta, will be held over the coming weekend. Blizzard expects a significantly larger group of players.

A list of bug fixes that Blizzard hasplanned forDiablo 4’s open betawas recently published on the game’s official forums, with several additional fixes added over time. ForDiablo 4players who encountered technical problems with the early access beta or those worried about the state ofDiablo 4’s open beta, the list is an encouraging sign. The hope is that Blizzard has minimized the number of experience-ruining bugs dramatically.

The list of bug fixes isn’t long but does cover a lot of ground. For example, one bullet point is for fixing “multiple miscellaneous crash-related issues.” Another says that Blizzard has made a fix that will dramatically improve queue times. Other smaller fixes include one toworld boss Ashava’s spawn time after she didn’t spawn for some players, a bug where the queue timer was incorrect or blank, and an issue preventing couch co-op partners from being able to drop into the game.

Unfortunately, but understandably, Blizzard does not expect these changes to create a perfectly smoothDiablo 4open beta experience. It has already warned players toexpect lengthyDiablo 4open beta queue timesand potentially even server downtime for maintenance. Friday especially has the potential to be swamped, soDiablo 4players should make sure to log in early for the queue and plan a second option just in case servers go down.

TheDiablo 4open beta will officially begin on March 24 at 9:00 AM PDT and will run through March 27 at 12:00 PM PDT, making for over three full days of play. As the name implies, the open beta is free to download and play on all supported platforms. Pre-loads are available now. Plus, those who reach level 20 during the beta will be granted a limited puppy backpack item onDiablo 4’s launch.

Diablo 4releases June 6 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
