Once theWhat Home Feels LikeQuest inDisney Dreamlight Valleyis activated, the Ice Queen will ask for a particular ingredient that only appears under specific conditions: Glittering Herring. This fish looks like any normal Herring, but it contains a special component that’ll help Elsa recover her forgotten memories by preparing an unusual Fish Pie.

The fish is requested by Elsa to make a special dish that reminds her of old times to make her feel more at home in the village. Another variation of the Dreamlight Valley Glittering Herring is the normal Herring that’s caught in certain Biomes using the Fishing Rod. Players will benefit greatly from the normal fish as it can be used in more recipes than that Glittering type, and there are characters that sometimes request some of these dishes.
Where To Find Glittering Herring In Disney Dreamlight Valley
To find Glittering Herring inDisney Dreamlight Valleyplayers must follow Elsa’s instructions and try tocatch the fish in Glade of Trust on a rainy day. Sadly, the weather cannot be controlled in the game, so Saviors are forced to wait for this specific weather.
The moment it starts to rain, they should head to Glade of Trust and fish atany spot in the river. It’s worth noting that fishing at the sparkling red/orange ripple is more likely to reward rare fish like the Glittering Herring. Once the ingredient is acquired, players can use any available stove to cook Elsa a Fish Pie.
Normal Herring
Unlike the Glittering Herring in Dreamlight Valley, the normal Herring isn’t that hard to find and doesn’t require any specific climate to appear. The small fish can be found in two locations; Dazzle Beach, which requires 1,000 Dreamlight, and Glade of Trust, which calls for 5,000 Dreamlight. Once players are in the desired Biome, try to find a white ripple to fish a Herring out of it. The only downside of the normal Herring is that it’s not the only fish rewarded from the white ripple, so Protagonists might need to fish a couple of times until one is caught.
Another difference between both Herrings is that the Glittering one can be used in a handful of recipes while the normal Herring is used in many.
