Dr Disrespect, AKA Guy Beahm, just shared a very strange music video on his Twitter. The video shows the iconic streamer standing dramatically in a dimly lit alley in front of a car. The camera slowly zooms in on him as red lights flicker and the music intensifies. Yet anotherhigh quality video from Dr Disrespect.

For those unaware, Beahm was recently banned fromTwitchfor no apparent reason. Twitch has refused to provide a reason for the ban to the public or even to him in private, and he claims to have no idea why he was banned in the first place.

This sort ofmysterious and dramatic persona is right in line with what Dr Disrespect does, though, so his fans are thrilled to see him returning to his antics again. The video may be confusing, but many are holding out hope that it is indicating the imminent return of Beahm to the streaming scene.

Above is the video in question, taken directly from Dr Disrespect’s Twitter account. Examining the lyrics provide deeper meaning to the video, and seems to corroborate the idea that this is adirect response to Twitch from Beahmin musical form. The lyrics go “It’s out of my hands / But I’m still in control / It’s out of my hands / you may never take away the power of my soul.” By themselves these lyrics may not mean much, but when viewed in the context of Beahm’s sudden, potentially career shattering ban dealt out by Twitch, they take on much greater meaning. It seems that Beahm isn’t ready to give up yet.

He’s made this clear in more plain words before, as a recent interview with PC Gamer quotedDr Disrespect considering taking legal action against Twitch. He equates his ban to someone going in to work only to find the doors locked and a note informing them they are fired. Thankfully, Dr Disrespect has plenty of other recourses aside from Twitch, as YouTube Gaming and Facebook Gaming are both vying for exclusivity agreements with the popular streamer, but it doesn’t reduce the severity of Twitch’s actions at all.

This short music video seemed somewhat like a preview more than anything, so perhaps more will come in the future. Regardless, it certainly seems as thoughDr Disrespect is setting up for a big announcement, whether that’s his comeback to the realm of streaming or something else remains to be seen, however.
