From very early in the game,Dragon’s Dogma 2introduces players to a wide range of side content. Side-quests can be found in nearly every corner of the game, and will play a vital role in developing characters, no matter which vocation is chosen. The first major cluster of these quests will be found in the town of Melve, the first full settlement found inDragon’s Dogma 2.
In Melve, players can initiate the ‘Medicament Predicament’ side-quest, which, along with’Provisioner’s Plight,‘will help introduce players toDD2’s crafting mechanic. This quest will also explore the game’s desire to give players multiple paths to completion. This guide will teach players how to craft the recipe they’ll need to complete ‘Medicament Predicament’ with ease.
How to Begin ‘Medicament Predicament’ in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Upon arriving in Melve, the player will have the freedom to explore the small grouping of buildings that make up the town. To begin ‘Medicament Predicament,’ players will want to head toRunne’s Apothecary, which is marked by a small potion jar, both on the map, and on a sign placed out front of the building.
Outside of Runne’s Apothecary, players will see a young girl patiently waiting for someone to approach her. This young girl isFlora, and interacting with her will initiate the conversation that begins the quest. When prompted, verify toAcceptthe quest when prompted.
How to Craft Fruit Roborant in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The main task of the mission isfinding Fruit Roborant and bringing it to Flora. There are two ways to go about this: crafting and purchasing. While purchasing Fruit Roborant is certainly quicker, in many ways, this quest is designed to reinforce the crafting – orCombination– mechanic inDragon’s Dogma 2.
To craft Fruit Roborant, players will need two items:
Combining these materials will result in a single Fruit Roborant.
When crafting items, players can access a full list of recipes by pressing RB from the main crafting menu. This will switch from ‘Experiment’ to ‘Use Recipe.’ This will usually reveal several possible recipes for each item, including Fruit Roborant and Dried Fruit.
How to Get Dried Fruit and Medicinal Herbs:
Dried Fruit can be crafted by combiningtwo ripened fruits.Remember that fruits must be in your inventory for some time before they are considered ‘ripened.’ Raw fruit and medicinal herbs can be found throughout the world. Many Pawns will gather fruit and herbs on their own, so verify to check their inventory regularly. The area directly outside Melve is rich in both item types.
Where to Purchase Fruit Roborant in Dragon’s Dogma 2
If players would rather buy Fruit Roborant and complete the mission quickly, they are immediately available at Runne’s Apothecary in Melve for 600 gold pieces. It is also possible to buy Dried Fruit from Mia, the merchant who can often be found in front of the large, gray building at the end of Melve. She charges 350 gold pieces each.
How to Complete Medicament Predicament
Once players have a Fruit Roborant, they will then need to return it to Flora outside the apothecary. As a reward, she will offer aRing of Exultation, which slightly boosts maximum health. Additionally, she will inform the player of her Grandfather in the capital. Once players make it to Vernworth as part of ‘Seat of the Sovran,’ they will want to seek outAuriol, Flora’s Grandfather.Upon speaking to him, he will show his gratitude by offering a 20% discount on all his items. Though his selection is limited, he does carry theOrnate Box, which will play a role during ‘The Ornate Box’ side-quest. Once the player is finished with Auriol, ‘Medicament Predicament’ will be officially completed.
