As with just about every major FromSoftware title released sinceDemon’s Souls,Elden Ringpossesses a remarkably high level of difficulty. WhileElden Ringis considered to be much more approachable compared to previous FromSoftware games, it still has a litany of intense gameplay moments that challenge even the most seasoned players. Though, as to be expected, plenty of players have since risen to the occasion and accomplished extraordinary feats in-game, despite the high difficulty ofElden Ring.

A common trend often seen when it comes to a lot of FromSoftware fans is the drive to make the experience of playing any given game more difficult than it already is. For instance, one player managed tobeatElden Ringusing a piano as a controller. However, with this most recent example, the user managed to accomplish the near impossible at a significant disadvantage in-game.

Over on Reddit, a user named Still-Stay8668 somehow managed to defeat Malenia, Blade of Miquella, who is widely regarded as one of the most difficult boss fights inElden Ring, on the seventh iteration of New Game Plus at level 1. It’s likely that the user died several times before finally defeating Malenia, not to mention the number of hurdles the player would have to overcome at level 1 at New Game +7 just to make it to Malenia.

Players have to acquire the twoHaligtree medallions in order to even get to Malenia, one of which is in a location that can only be accessed after defeating a number of mandatory bosses. This means that this user managed to beat several difficult parts ofElden Ringon New Game +7 at level 1 before finally beating Malenia, all of which are extremely impressive accomplishments.

In fairness, the user was able to maintain every piece of equipment and abilities they procured in their previous playthroughs ofElden Ring, which probably made the experience a bit easier. That said, every enemy and boss inNew Game Plus inElden Ringhas their health and damage increased in order to account for the player’s skill, so either way, it’s quite the difficult undertaking.

In any case, it’s amazing to see how players have gone out of their way to make the experience of playing a FromSoftware game even more challenging. For example, onestreamer managed to beatDark Souls 3with 90 percent of their screen coveredwith random images. Considering the ongoing popularity ofElden Ring, it’s likely that the gaming community will continue to witness incredible feats such as this.

Elden Ringis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
