Players are already speculating about whenEscape from Tarkov’s next server reset will be, since Battlestate hasn’t provided an official date. Many expect it to be mid-year or later, which would line up withEscape from Tarkov’s next major updateplanned forEscape from Tarkov. Given major updates often shake up the meta significantly, server resets are helpful in evaluating the state of the game regarding balance and economy. That doesn’t mean Battlestate can’t do a reset earlier, of course.

The argument for a reset comes down to an imbalance in the economy in the current game. There are a lot of extremely wealthy, so to speak, players and there are players who have little to nothing. The result is a game state that doesn’t have an appropriate risk and reward balance. ThewealthyEscape from Tarkovplayerscan afford any losses and the poor players just have to focus on taking gear from the wealthy players. The counter-argument is that this is a fun, fast, and simple way to playEscape from Tarkov.

For now, the opposition to a server reset forEscape for Tarkovis more persuasive. While yes, the state ofEscape from Tarkovdoesn’t necessarily fit the idea of how the game should play, that doesn’t matter when so many players are enjoying it.Escape from Tarkovhas a good thing going right now. It would be a mistake to risk that. It makes more sense to test a server reset when it’s alongside something exciting like a major content patch. In the meantime, players can hopefully have some fun with the game.
