Skywave’s lack of offensive variety does make it one of the less popular options inExoprimal, however, those who take the time to understand how to utilize its skills best will find that this Exosuit is capable of frequently achieving top scores in the war games. Here is everything players need to knowabout this underrated member of the Exosuit roster.

Skywave’s Abilities And Stats In Exoprimal

Skywave is a light and mobile Support unit with a glaringly obvious weakness in combat abilities, however, when used intelligently this Exosuit can be the most valuable team member by a country mile. Understanding thatnot every member of a team needs to play an aggressive rolein a squad can open up opportunities for Support Exosuits to shine and, in fact, make their Assault and Tank comrades even better. Skywave is a perfect example of this, as its skills help to keep its teammates alive while providing windows of opportunity for fellow Exopilots to pounce on incapacitated foes. Here is a breakdown of Skywave’s unique but effective abilities;

Damage

Aether Lance

Skywave fires light projectiles that explode on impact. They will cause damage to enemies but will heal any allies it touches

Optics Jammer

Skywave fires a special shockwave that jams the optics on enemies, leaving them blind. Allies in the area of effect will be healed.

Slipstream

The Exosuit performs a spinning thrust that launches them into the air, before shifting to its Air Supremacy mode to hover in the air. This can be chained to remain above the battlefield for extended periods.

Graviton Cage

A gravity cluster is created once Skywave fires this ability, which pulls in all surrounding foes and leaves them vulnerable to one big devastating attack.

Overdrive: De-Synchronize

Skywave generates a huge gravity well that manipulates spacetime. All enemies inside the well are briefly stopped in their tracks and left vulnerable for attack.

The Best Modules And Rig For Skywave In Exoprimal

Since Skywave lacks in a depth of attacking options, one of the offensive Rigs would be best utilized for this Exosuit. The Catapult and Shield Rigswill be ineffective for Skywave since it has the ability to spend almost an entire war game off the ground butthe Cannon Rig is a great extra source of offenseon the battlefield. While the Blade and Drill Fist Rigs are solid attacking attachments, they are useful up close which doesn’t match Skywave’s strategic style of being effective from a distance.

Skywave’sprimary objectives are to heal teammatesand disrupt the movements of enemies, so its Modules will want to improve these facets of the Exosuit’s game. For slot one, players have the Aether Accelerator, which significantly improves projectile speed, butshould opt for the Aether Enhancer, as it increases the attacking and healing potency of Skywave’s primary weapon. The modules in slot two can improve the Optics Jammer, with the Dispeller Module, or the Graviton Shackle, which boosts the Graviton Cage. The latter is the more effective ability and greatest support for teammates as it leaves enemies vulnerable to being wiped out, soplayers should equip the Graviton Shackle for Skywave’s best build. The third slot can be utilized to improve Skywave’s Slipstream ability, withReload Streamautomatically reloading its primary weapon, andQuick Slipincreasesthe number of Slip Stream usesat the expense of hover quality. Skywave is able to comfortably hover for the majority of a war game with just two uses, sothe Reload Stream is the strongest option here as it takes away some of the reload delay for the Aether Lance.

Tips For Playing Skywave In Exoprimal

The key to scoring high point totals with Skywave isbeing generous with its healing abilities and timing its Graviton Cage effectively. Players can quicklyaccumulate a high early-game totalby spamming teammates with healing projectiles, particularly when healing produces medals worth more points. The best times to use the Graviton Cage for maximum effectiveness issoon after smaller dinosaurs begin spawning, or when a group is bunched up together. By trapping them all in the limited space, Skywave can easily pick them off using the Cannon Rig for a huge points boost.

Skywave is the only Exosuitcapable of anything that resembles flight, which is a trait that players should build the foundations of their strategy around. While it is not known for its attacking prowess, its ability to float above the battle makes it easy to survey the combat situation and provide support on the go for the more aggressive squad members. Aside from flight,Skywave’s best trait is that its primary weapon will heal allies and damage enemies with the same projectile, so players should not be afraid to be trigger-happy with the Aether Lance.

Given its low health and low offensive qualities, players should avoid being on the ground for any extended periods, particularly when there is active combat nearby.Timing the Slip Stream ability well will ensure Skywave remains in the air almost the entire battle, however, if players are waiting for the cooldown to complete,it is best that the Exosuit lands on higher groundwhenever possible. In hand-to-hand combat, Skywave is almost certain to lose, but in the sky, it is an invaluable key to a solid team victory.
