Summary

AFallout 4player has made a video highlighting how fun the Stealth Boys can be when entering a hostile area.Fallout 4Stealth Boys grant temporary invisibility which can save a player that’s in danger, but it can also mean catching NPCs off guard.

Like other Bethesda games,Fallout 4players can sneak around hostile areas by crouching, with an indicator that ranges from Hidden to Danger. Players can put attribute points into making their natural Sneak ability better, but there are also Stealth Boys that can be used to make them invisible for 30 seconds. Stealth Boys can be found aroundtheFallout 4Boston Commonwealthor purchased from some vendors. NPCs can sometimes see through the veil of the Stealth Boy and shoot players despite them being otherwise invisible. One gamer has showcased an effective use of the Stealth Boy when exploring Park Street Station.

Reddit user Jackattack_99 recently shared aFallout 4clip spotlighting the effectiveness of the Stealth Boy consumable item. The clip begins with them cockingtheFallout 4Deliverer pistolbefore using a Favorites hotkey to access their Stealth Boys. With Triggermen enemies continuing their dialogue, the gamer approaches each of them while invisible, sneaking to get bonus damage. The player rapidly kills four Triggermen on the upper level before descending some stairs. The invisible player then clears both tunnels, running between their shots. The video concludes outside the Park Street station tunnel that leads to the Skinny Malone dialogue sequence.

How Does This Stealth Boy Last So Long?

As the Stealth Boy used in this clip lasts longer than a standard one, the player is likely using the Railroad Stealthboy. This item can be acquired fromtheFallout 4faction of the same name, and it lasts 10 additional seconds. The Deliverer is acquired by completing the Railroad quest called Tradecraft and looting Tommy Whispers. With one wrong move, this player may have been detected and their Sneak bonus would’ve been lost which points to why they were so quick to kill each Triggerman. As there are more Triggermen further in the tunnel, the Stealth Boy bonus likely ran out before the gamer could clear Park Street station entirely. BeyondFallout 4, the Stealth Boy can also be found inFallout 3,Fallout: New Vegas, andFallout 76.

Despite how handy the Stealth Boy is in this clip, many players choose not to use them given how rare they are. Stealth Boys are similar to Fusion Cores in their rarity and value with vendors. AstheFallout 4next-gen updatedidn’t increase their drop rate, Stealth Boys may always be too rare to clear every dungeon like this player.
