Far Cry 6is an impossibly large game, which is part of what makes it so much fun to explore. Hidden caverns, secret chests, unmarked encounters, all of these are elements that add to the intrigue. It’s fun to pick up a key and track down a nearby chest to see if it fits.

But one specific key, the Mysterious Key, always seems to waste away unused in most players' inventories. Even after appearing to clear the entire map of every marker and secret. This unmarked secret has baffledFar Cry 6completionists, but thankfully, some super sleuths have crossed islands and come across the answer to one of the game’s biggest secrets.
How To Acquire The Key
Simply by following the mandatory plot dealing with the Monteros, Dani will meet Chorizo.When Montero farm is unlocked, a quest marker will pop up, directing Dani topet, then feed, then follow Chorizo. There are several items to acquire that the cute little guy digs up, but the last of these is the eerily named Mysterious Key.

Chorizo is great for players who need more resources or have tofarm up more pesos. He’s generally not considered to be all that helpful for combat, but there’s more to him than meets the eye. And tracking down the chest for the key proves exactly why he’s not one to be underestimated.
Treasure Location And Reward
Back on the starting island of Isla Santuario, there is a small little island in the middle of the horseshoe-shaped mainland calledGuau-Guau Island(which, not incidentally, translated to bow-wow or woof-woof in English). Head there with the key in hand.
The chest is hard to miss, it’s directly underneath the palm tree and there are very few other features on the island.Open up the chest and claim the loot! It’s an explicitly named rifle, letting players know that Chorizo might be adorable, but he’s got some choice words for Presidente Castillo and he’s prepared to back up those words with more than just yapping.
