In the latter half of the 81st Letter From the Producer Live broadcast,Final Fantasy 14pulled back the curtain on a new collaboration with Mountain Dew Gaming. US-based players can redeem codes from bottles of Mountain Dew and earn points to obtain variousFinal Fantasy 14prizes, including the new Mountain Zu mount, several Metallic Dyes, and some branded keycaps designed after the new Viper and Pictomancer Jobs.
On May 16, Square Enix aired the long-awaitedDawntrailLive Letter that covered changes to combat Jobs. The Live Letter opened withtheDawntrailJob Action trailer, which showcased some of the new abilities for Jobs, such as the reworked Dragoon and Astrologian, and the new Viper and Pictomancer DPS Jobs. Later on in the broadcast,Final Fantasy 14producer and director Naoki Yoshida went into brief detail about the changes that each Job and Role would receive in Dawntrail. Yoshida also dived into a Media Tour build of the expansion to demonstrate the Viper and the Pictomancer and shared how both Jobs would work at the most fundamental levels.

However, the 81st Live Letter broadcast concluded with an unexpected announcement. From May 16 until July 01, 2025,Final Fantasy 14will take part in acollaboration with Mountain Dew Gaming. During the crossover, players who purchase branded 20oz bottles ofvarious Mountain Dew flavorscan redeem a code worth either 100 or 200 points each, depending on the product. Flavors included in the crossover include Code Red, Frostbite, and Mountain Dew Original. Some of the prizes thatFinal Fantasy 14players can redeem include the exclusive Mountain Zu flying mount, the Sparkling Citrus Refreshment food item, an exclusive T-shirt labeled “I Drank Dew” in the style of various FanFest trial shirts, and some Taito prizes. The highest-value items from the collaboration include Puma clothing, special Drop keycaps, and desk mats based on the Viper and the Pictomancer. The Mountain Dew Gaming collaboration withFinal Fantasy 14is exclusive to Guam and the US.
Final Fantasy 14 and Mountain Dew Gaming Crossover Details
Final Fantasy 14is no stranger to collaborating with various brands, as the game collaborated with KFC Japan in 2023. The collaboration brought the “eat chicken” emote to Japanese players who purchased select KFC Japan items. The KFC collaboration was also confirmed during the 81st Live Letter to make a return but will remain exclusive to Japan at the time of writing.
Withthe launch ofDawntrailscheduled for July 2, theFinal Fantasy 14and Mountain Dew collaboration will last well into the expansion’s release window. Only time will tell if it will be extended to other territories in the future.
