Yuffie was one of the more comical characters in the original version ofFinal Fantasy 7. This made sense because she was a kid, and children are often set up to be the joke machines in popular media. Some examples include her hunger for Materia wherein she tries to steal it from the party a few times.

Another classic set of incidents involve Yuffie getting motion sick like on the boat leaving Junon or on the Highwind airship. She’s full of laughs in this DLC for the remake as well. Some of these moments feel naturally primed for memes. Jokes aside, there will be some spoilers for these.
10The Umbrella Fantasy
Shinra fromFinal Fantasy 7and Umbrella fromResident Evilare two companies that have a lot in common. They both are promoting themselves as corporations for the common good but underneath they are experimenting on humans and creating weapons.
It would not be shocking then to have Yuffie run into Shinra HQ only to find herself in an Umbrella wing of the building. This seems like an evil team-up just waiting to happen.
9Ninjas Get It Done
“That’s how ninjas do it.” That’s the actual line Sonon says after defeating the centipede robot. “Ninjas get it done” in the case of this meme gets it close enough.
The revised line is snappier and works well with other phrases in pop culture such as “immigrants, we get the job done” from theHamiltonmusical. Despite the two of them not looking like traditional ninjas in black, these Wutai heroes are indeed excellent shinobi.
8Da-Chao Souls
Da-Chao Beans are theDark Soulsof beans. They are from Yuffie’s home nation wherein she implies everyone can eat them with ease. Every non-Wutai resident she hands them to inFinal Fantasy 7 Remakeare reduced to tears as if their jaws break when they bite down on the beans.

How could a nut or bean be that hard to crack? That’s where theDark Soulsreference comes into play for this meme, as these beans seemingly require someone to git gud.
7The Red Queen
“You’re all going to die down here." That’s a line from the firstResident Evillive-action film spoken by the AI known as the Red Queen.
InFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, Scarlet presents herself as a similarly shaped red hologram. As it was said earlier that Shinra and Umbrella have a lot in common, it would be not that hard to believe that a killer AI would attempt to go after Yuffie and Sonon.
6The Master Ball Materia
Another organization that can be likened to Shinra is Team Rocket from thePokemonseries. They want to rule the world by capturing rare and powerful Pokemon. Meanwhile, Shinra wants to rule the world by breeding monsters.
Finding a Master Ball in the vaults of Shinra HQ is not that farfetched. Maybe they wouldn’t call it a Master Ball inFinal Fantasy 7 Remakebut it seems like a reasonable idea that Shinra would develop some way to capture monsters like with Materia.
5The Power Of Mew
It would also be likely for Yuffie and Sonon to stumble upon a Pokemon in one of Shinra’s many holding tanks. They do experiment on humans and monsters in order to create subservient soldiers after all.
Yuffie stumbling upon a Mew would not be that big of a surprise, as it is right up Shinra’s ally. One can bet that the way in which they would experiment inFinal Fantasy 7 Remakewould be far worse than anything Team Rocket ever did.
4Metroid Comes To Midgar
Final Fantasy 7 RemakeandMetroid Dreadshare a lot in common. Both were rumors that took over a decade to turn into real products. The title ofMetroid Dreadas well as the idea ofFinal Fantasy 7getting a remake were both conceived in the mid-2000s.
Final Fantasy 7got a tech demo on PS3 which created a thirst for a real remake, a promise that was not delivered on until 2020. In the case ofMetroid Dread, which was rumored to be a DS game, fans had to wait until 2021 to see that vision realized. Yuffie is understandably very excited aboutMetroid Dread.
3The Seven Materia Balls
Materia are powerful crystals that allow anyone to use magic. That’s a cool set of powerful orbs inFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, but some things that could rival their might are the seven Dragon Balls.

Their powers vary from arc to arc in terms of what can be wished for but whether it is one wish or three, a wish is a wish. Yuffie going on the hunt for them instead of Materia is a funny concept. She could just wish for this new rumored Materia.
2Yuffie Steals The Show
One of the things Nintendo has gotten good at is starting its Direct presentations with trailers that seem to be advertising one thing only for the clip to turn into aSuper Smash Bros. Ultimatetrailer. These reveals are always pretty clever, with the most recentTekkentrailer being one of the funniest.
If this scene appeared in a Nintendo Direct altered from the main game, it would drive fans wild. As cool as Cloud and Sephiroth are inSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, it would also be nice to see someone from the female crew representFinal Fantasy 7 Remake.
1Team Wutai
This meme is another reference toPokemon, mocking the Team Rocket motto Jessie and James shout out in every episode of the anime. It’s abbreviated a bit to fit the images but it works just as well for Yuffie to deliver these lines.
The actual dialogue Yuffie says inFinal Fantasy 7 Remakeis pretty close to Team Rocket’s motto. Either way, this is one of the funniest scenes in the game proper, cementing Yuffie as one of the best adaptations in the remake from the PS1 original.
