Loot Sharks were added toFortniteduring the early days of Chapter 2, and since then, the sharks have come and gone from the battle royale depending on the season. OneFortnitefan recently encountered an issue that may put the Loot Shark back in the vault as their Battle Bus was launched into the storm by one of the sharks.

Twitter user X_midnit3 posted a clip of their attempt to be the last person standing in aFortnitebattle royale in which they’re driving around the island in anArmored Battle Bus. Epic Games added Battle Buses toFortniteas part of the latest season, but there seem to be some problems with the vehicle, given how easily Loot Sharks can move it. The aggressive shark that gets triggered by theFortniteplayer driving the Battle Bus too close to it is able to quickly send the vehicle flying into the storm, eventually leading to X_midnit3’s downfall.

X_midnit3’s video begins with theFortniteplayer stopping their Battle Bus near theLogjam Lumberyardlake as their duo partner aims a turret frantically while a purple Loot Shark hits the front end of the bus. Despite the Battle Bus having a Cow Catcher, which usually improves its interactivity withFortniteobjects, the Loot Shark’s attack sends the bus into the air, and the shark isn’t finished with one bite. Lunging at the flying Battle Bus two more times to attack it, the Loot Shark ensures that the vehicle flies for miles with three superpowered bites that send the bus high enough to see the curve of theFortniteocean.

Being sent from Logjam Lumberyard beyond the Daily Bugle and ocean and into the constantly expanding storm, the Battle Bus hits an invisible wall which rebounds it slightly back towards the island. Once the vehicle lands in the ocean, the perspective shifts to first-person as if theFortnitefan was gearing up tofight Galactus, showing the driver seat area before the player gets out and starts swimming. Although the video concludes before X_midnit3 is able to make it to shore, they may not have reached the battle royale island given how much damage the storm causes.

Because Loot Sharks have been vaulted in the past to fix issues similar to the one shown by X_midnit3’s clip, the shark may disappear from theFortniteisland again in the near future given this problem. There are many movement items in the current Season ofFortnite, but Epic Games probably didn’t expect players to move around the map using Loot Sharks in this way. It’s currently unclear why the Loot Shark was able to move the Battle Bus so far, but because Epic Gamesregularly updatesFortnite, it may not be a roadblock for many players.

Fortniteis available now for Mobile, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
