Fortnitelost most of its popular mobility items with the latest season renewal, but leaks indicate that an old favorite might be unvaulted soon to solve this problem. After three months of landing in the same locations, Chapter 4 Season 3 dropped on June 9 andgaveFortniteplayers three new POIs to explore. Fans are still scouting these recently added jungle locations and becoming familiar with the gameplay features this new biome introduced to the game.

The Chapter 4 battle royale island is huge, and if a player lands too far away from the Storm Circle at the start of a match, it might be difficult to reach the safe zone without losing a chunk of health to storm damage. That’s why mobility items are so important inFortnite. Even though Chapter 4 Season 3 added a lot of content to the game, it also removed some of the most crucial survival gear: mobility items.

Leakers have given theFortnitecommunity some hope regarding this issue, thankfully. Dataminers have dug through the game files and discovered that loot pools have been updated to allow the NPCs on the map to sell the Grapple Glove. For those unfamiliar with this item, theGrapple Glove was added toFortnitea year ago, in Chapter 3 Season 3, and it allowed users to quickly swing from place to place without even touching the ground.

Last season, players had various ways to get around the map. They could choose between vehicles, the Kinetic Blade, the ODM Gear, and the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters. It was even a little odd when the Web-Shooters were added since they were strikingly similar to Eren Jaeger’s signature ODM Gear. Now, the only available options are vehicles, grind rails, and zip lines, and these are all tied to specific map locations. The mobility items that players could carry with them in their inventories are now gone. Chug Splash has become one of themost valuable healing items inFortnitesince it allows fans to sprint quite a long distance before its effects run out.

If the rumors turn out to be true and the Grapple Glove is eventually unvaulted, many gamers will be quite happy to see it amongFortnite’s item poolonce again. Players will be able to land farther away from the center of the map without having to fear the storm closing in on them faster than they can outrun it.

Fortniteis available for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
