Fortnite: How to Get Keys and Open Vaults
Players that are the on hunt forKeysinFortniteare advised to turn their attention to locations whereChests and Floor Lootcan be found in abundance. Indeed, Keys are obtained from both of these sources, andLustrous Lagoon, Rave Cave, and Tilted Towersare some of the best places to look. These named locations have all been marked on the map that is below, and fans that search them carefully should have no trouble finding a Key or two.

Regardless of where a player obtains their Keys, they should open theirmapsand look forlock iconswhen they have some in hand. These icons indicate that there is a Vault in the marked position, with a one-keyhole lock representing a Low-Security Vault and a two-keyhole lock representing a High-Security Vault. The difference between these two types of Vaults is that Low-Security Vaults are unlocked with a single key, while High-Security Vaults, which contain betterFortniteloot, require two Keys.
Upon locating a nearby lock icon on the map, players should drop a pin and make their way toward it. When they arrive at the pinned location, fans are likely to find an object or structure, and they should do whatever is necessary to get underneath it. This typically means pulling out aharvesting tool inFortniteand using it to smash some barriers, and it should be quite clear to players when they have reached the door of a Vault.
Once a player is standing in front of a Vault door with the requisite number of Keys, they should simply hold the interact button to get inside. Notably, this process does take a second, andFortnitefansshould not let down their guard while they wait for the door to open.
