Recently, Epic Games and Capcom announced they are collaborating once again on a crossover betweenFortniteandStreet Fighter. No, Jonesy isn’t being added as DLC forStreet Fighter 5; it’s a pair of newFortniteskins based on Cammy and Guile. In addition to the Ryu and Chun-Li skins added during Season 5, this makes four characters from Capcom’s classic fighting game franchise to make it into Epic’s battle royale.

While Epic and Capcom could feasibly leave it there, there are many other characters that fans of bothFortniteandStreet Fighterwould love to see be added to the game. Whether it be because these characters are massively popular, or because seeing them flossing would be hilarious/weird, here’s a list of potential street fighters that could be a priority for futureStreet Fightercrossovers.

Ken Alongside Ryu in Fortnite

Despite being Ryu’s best friend, rival, and brother from another mother, Ken has a tendency to miss out on big crossovers. He’s mostly absent from theMarvel vs Capcomgames, for example (only appearing in the second one), and even some of the lesser known ones likeTatsunoko vs Capcom. Basically, whenever Ryu shows up, it’s always unusual not seeing his eternal rival Ken accompanying him.

Super Smash Bros.rectified this by bringing Ken in forSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, andFortniteshould arguably do the same. Some may argue that Ken is just blonde Ryu but, while he may have started as such, Ken has very much become his own character over the years and developed his own sizable fanbase.

Ryu’s Biggest Fan, Sakura, in Fortnite

Another fan-favorite among theStreet Fightercast, Sakura feels like an obvious pick given her popularity. Although she’s now a university student and working part-time at an arcade as ofStreet Fighter 5, Capcom and Epic would likely go with her original, classic schoolgirl appearance.

Her inclusion would make sense from a character perspective, as she has spent a lot of time chasing after her idol Ryu, and copying his fighting techniques. She’d absolutely chase him toFortniteas well. Maybe Epic wouldn’t like the idea of letting a high-school girl run around with guns shooting at people and getting shot herself, butFortnite’s violence has always erred on the more cartoony side of things, with opponents simply vanishing once their health is depleted.

M. Bison, Street Fighter’s Biggest Enemy, in Fortnite

Street Fighter 5may very well be Bison’s last appearance in the series, with Illuminati boss Gill poised to take over as main villain. But for many,M. Bison will forever remain the de facto bad guyfor the series. Plus, M. Bison has cheated death before, so he could easily make a return. Perhaps out of everyone on this list, Bison should be the next pick for aStreet FighterxFortniteskin.

Some may hate the idea of seeing Bison doing dance moves, but part ofFortnite’s appeal nowadays is showing all these disparate crossover characters in a different, sillier light. Considering M. Bison’s love of evil scheming and world domination, perhaps Epic could even work him intoFortnite’s plot for a season, with him managing to take control of the island.

Bringing Street Fighter’s Newer Generation, Like Juri, to Fortnite

Since Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, and Cammy arguably cover the classic era ofStreet Fighter, it makes sense for the next character to represent the current state of the series. Of all the more modernStreet Fightercharacters, Juri is a contender for the most popular.

After becoming an instant hit with fans following her debut inSuper Street Fighter 4, she became one of twoSF4characters to come back as a playable character inStreet Fighter 5,the other beingStreet Fighter 4’s final boss Seth. Juri also boasts some of the most alternate/DLC costumes inStreet Fighter 5as well, only outdone by Chun-Li and Cammy. IfFortniteis going to get moreStreet Fighterskins in the future, Juri’s inclusion feels like less of a possibility and more of a certainty.

Street Fighter’s Newest Addition, Luke, in Fortnite

Even when characters haven’t been explicitly tied to a new movie or game, the very inclusion of characters from other media introduces and promotes them to newcomers who may be encouraged to check out the source material. Capcom’s comments seem to suggest Luke may be a new character for the upcomingStreet Fighter 6, and what better way to drum up interest in that title than to put one of its stars inFortnite.

Fortniteis available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
