Genshin Impactupdate 2.4 has brought two brand new characters, Shenhe and Yun Jin, as well as three banner re-runs for popular characters like Zhongli and Ganyu. The addition of newGenshin Impactcharacters helps build excitement for each new update, as they are one of the game’s main features.
While version 2.4 arrived just a couple of days ago, new leaks have already revealed information about the next update. Further, the officialGenshin impactSocial media accounts have already confirmedYae Miko as the new playable character.

A recent tweet by a credibleGenshin Impactleaker named Ubatcha1 has revealed additional information about update 2.6. Apparently it will include two new characters: Kamisato Ayato and Heizou. The same leaker has accurately predicted multiple previous character releases. According to miHoYo’s usual update schedule,Genshin ImpactVersion 2.6 will arrive around March 30.
The leak the predicts that Ayato will be a five-star character while Heizou will have a lower rarity. MiHoYo could decide to put them on the same banner as was the case withShenhe and Yun Jin
The only confirmed information about this character is that he is the head of the Kamisato clan. The majority of theGenshin Impactcommunity thought that it was Ayaka who was pulling the strings in the Kamisato clan, though the recent story quests have revealed that it’s actually Ayato who works in the background and assumes the leadership tasks for the clan to remain powerful. Previous leaks have been hinting that Ayato will be a Hydro character, meaning that he could have great synergy with his sisterAyaka who has a unique playstyle. Ayato is also expected to be a sword user, which would make him the second Hydro sword character after Xingqiu.
He will most likely be a new five-star character arriving after update 2.5, which will feature thefan-favorite character Yae Miko. Ayato fans have had their moments over the past couple of days, as the new Arataki Itto character tease included a couple of Ayato’s voice lines. This is usually the way miHoYo announces that a new character will become playable in the foreseeable future, giving fans good a reason to be excited.
Unlike Ayato, there is not much information about Heizou other than that he’s a detective and apparently a four-star character. Shikanoin Heizou is a popular Inazuma detective who works for the Tenryou Commission. His unique way of investigating often gives the impression that he puts his own priorities over duties which makes him disliked by his superiors such as thewell-known character Kojou Sara.
Genshin Impactis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
