While there is a lot of hype around this character, HoYoverse has confirmed that he won’t be the only new roster addition in the upcoming update 4.1.Genshin Impact’s official social media accounts have revealed that Neuvillette will be joined by another popular character named Wriothesley who is confirmed to be the game’s first Cryo Catalyst user.

Anew poston theGenshin ImpactLeaks subreddit shows Neuvillette’s complete gameplay animations. Even though developer HoYoverse did not specify his rarity, the fact that he has a close-up animation on his Elemental Burst confirms that he will be anew five-star character inGenshin Impact. Just like the recently released five-star Pyro user Lyney, Neuvillette will have a unique Charged Attack. Many fans in the comment section actually prefer his CA over Lyney’s since it allows Neuvillette to float in the air while charging up a powerful Hydro beam attack that deals tons of damage. While this attack seems very powerful, it will cause the character to lose HP while performing it, however, the debuff is capped at 50% HP.

Luckily, considering thatNeuvillette is a Hydro user, most of his skills will scale with HP which means that his Health bar will probably be stacked, and he won’t be in danger of getting one-shot by a special boss attack. Neuvllette’s Elemental Skill will make him cause an explosion that deals AoE Hydro damage in front of him. If this skill hits an opponent, it will generate 3 Sourcewater Droplets that can be consumed to shorten the time he needs to charge up his CA.

At the end of the skill’s animation, a Spiritbreath Thorn will appear above the enemy affected by the skill and it will deal additional Hydro damage.Neuvillette’s Elemental Burstwill unleash a rupturing wave that deals AoE Hydro damage that apparently scales with his max. HP.

The ability’s rage seems to be similar to “Distant Dreams, Listening Spring”, the burst that can be used byanother Hydro user named known as Nilou. Unlike similar skills like Childe’s Riptide Blast which stay on the field for a couple of seconds, Neuvillette’s Elemental Burst duration seems much shorter.

Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
