The last couple of updatesGenshin Impactupdates have brought the Enkanomiya region alongside the Inazuma islands, and it seems as though Hoyoverse is not planning to stop there. The official 2.5 livestream event has announced the arrival of a new big region named Chasm.
Adventuring is one of the most crucial parts of the gameplay found inGenshin Impact. Long climbs, breathtaking scenery that can’t be found elsewhere, every part of Teyvat was designed to be absolutely beautiful.

On the officialGenshin Impactsubreddit, Reddit user xblackspy0304 has expressed his appreciation towards the game by making a spectacular clay model of Teyvat. To be more precise, the model shows large parts of Mondstadt, three of its regions: Starfell Valley, Galesong Hill, and of course the iconic city of Mondstadt. According to the comment section, it took around a week for the model to be done and fans already gave it the funny nickname “Clayvat”. Mondstadt as a region has not been a focus of the game’s main story for a long time now but multiple leaks have revealed that the events that followGenshin Impact’sLantern Rite eventwill bring Mondstadt back into the spotlight.
Another rumors have revealed that the whole region of Mondstadt will receive a major expansion in the foreseeable future. According to the leak, the currently available parts of Mondstadt are only 60% of the whole region. The region will apparently be expanded to the north of the city of Mondstadt. This iconic region is the first one that was introduced to the game and themainGenshin Impactstorybegins with the Traveler meeting Amber and heading to Mondstadt.
The leak also claims that miHoYo will add a new region this Summer, the long-awaited city of Sumeru. According to the leak, Sumeru will be similar toGenshin Impact’s Inazuma islands, which was introduced back in September 2021. Each of the main regions in the game revolves around its own respective Archon and its divine ideals which are order, justice, contract, freedom, etc. In the case of Sumeru, the God of Wisdom rules in the pursuit of all knowledge.
Even though he is one of the rare leaders whose identity still remains unknown, it’s well known that Sumeru’s Archon is the youngest out of thesevenGenshin ImpactArchons. Sumeru should also introduce the Dendro element which is the only element that’s still unplayable. These leaks should be taken with a grain of salt considering that adding a new element could be tricky since it would have a huge impact on the game’s fighting system.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
