The Mysterious Strange Capsule Event

Of all themysteries inStardew Valley, the Strange Capsule stands out as one of the creepiest and most interesting. In gameplay terms, the Strange Capsule is a random event that can happen any time after Year 1 so long as the player has an open tile on their farm. The odd cylindrical curiosity is filled with “something fleshy” bobbing around in the fluid. If left alone for a few days players will find that the glass has broken, implying that whatever was inside the capsule broke out.

After the Strange Capsule breaks, players might notice a strange presence on the island at night. The dark figure will appear randomly and quickly dart out of sight. This mysterious presence has never been explained, and it is unknown if it ever will be. It is one of those things that giveStardew Valleya mystical sort of charm.
