Medals are a currency inHelldivers 2that players will use to unlock items through the free and premium Warbonds. While fans will earn this currency through standard gameplay, some players may want to take a more provocative approach toward farming Medals. This guide is here to assist with that endeavor, and details about how to quickly earn Medals inHelldivers 2can be found below.
Players who are in need of Medals should make sure to address the Personal Order that they receive every day, as they award quite a lot of the currency upon completion. While fans are likely to complete those orders without making any significant alterations to their playstyle, they should make sure that they are aware of the task that they are meant to complete.

Updated March 15th, 2024 by Russ Boswell: Medals are incredibly important in Helldivers 2 as they allow players to unlock new weapons, armors, and other items to use as they progress through the game. Unfortunately, grabbing these Medals can be a bit difficult for players that are just starting out, and it can take quite a few medals to unlock new things. To better help players infarming medals in Helldivers 2, the following guide has been updated to include a video.
Helldivers 2: Medal Farming Guide
Players who want to maximize the rate at which they earn Medals should focus exclusively oncompleting the main objectivesin missions andextracting as quickly as possible. Indeed, while there are certainly reasons to be thorough with pursuing secondary objectives and exploring the map during missions,third-person shooterfans will amass Medals much faster by ignoring that optional content and making a beeline to the end.
One of the reasons to be thorough is that there are caches that hold valuable items on most maps, includingHelldivers 2’s Super Credits. While players will occasionally receive Medals from those caches, the randomness of their rewards make them difficult to farm.

Players may now wonder if there are missions that are well suited to this type of play, and indeed there are. Specifically,“Blitz: Search and Destroy"and"Eradicate"missions are great for farming Medals, as they can be completed extremely quickly. In fact, the timers on those missions are quite short, at 12 and 10 minutes respectively, incentivizing a fast completion and extraction.
To note, there are manyHelldivers 2playerswho will not be interested in completing just the main objectives in a mission, and they may not appreciate a teammate that is rushing toward extraction. That is yet another reason that the “Blitz” and “Eradicate” missions are good for farming Medals, as their small scopes help prevent conflicts over preferred playstyle.

With all of that said, fans ofco-op shootersmay not always have access to a “Blitz” or “Eradicate” mission, and they may be forced to visit a larger map with players who want to explore. As such, finding a friend or two who is also committed to farming Medals is advisable, as most missions can be finished in a small amount of time with a group, provided that everyone is on the same page about sticking to primary objectives.
