ADiablo 4player recently shared a hilarious image of a group of players coming together to form a line. The wholesome interaction between strangers on the internet shows one of the best parts about a live service game likeDiablo 4.
The launch ofDiablo 4has largely been a success. While someDiablo 4players have encountered glitches, hiccups, and login queues, most players have had relatively seamless experience with the new action RPG.

However, one group ofDiablo 4players found themselves in a rather different queue than one might expect. Doislan shared an image on Reddit of some recent hijinks they got into in Gea Kul, the largest hub inthe Dry Steppes region ofDiablo 4. They decided to get in line behind a group of NPCs crowded around a soup kitchen on the street, waiting to receive a bowl. Others soon joined them, making a comedic scene of nearly a dozen players patiently waiting to get some soup of their own.
Like many multiplayer games, unspoken interactions can create some of the most fun and memorable moments for many players. From crouching repeatedly inOverwatchto jumping up and down inWorld of Warcraft, fans have developed a wordless language that spans live service games. ThoughDiablo 4has plenty of emotesand a chat system, many players still resort to such comedic forms of communication, such as rapidly spinning in place or spamming abilities next to each other.
Doislan’s fellowDiablo 4players got a kick out of their hilarious image. One joked that the Reddit post caused their favorite soup joint to blow up in popularity, while others made callbacks to the iconic “Soup Nazi”episode ofSeinfeld. Another player shared a similar story, but it ended with another person skipping the line, causing the queued characters to emote in fake outrage.
Some players joked that Doislan and the others must have been waiting in line because there was nothing better to do inDiablo 4. A fair number of gamers have completed theDiablo 4campaign and are grinding Nightmare dungeonsfor gear and XP, but some are succumbing to the tedium of the ARPG endgame loop. Luckily,Diablo 4will be starting Season 1 in early-to-mid July, which promises to mix things up a bit. That said,Diablo 4fans will have to make new characters to earn rewards from the Battle Pass, so there will be no time to wait in line for soup once the new season arrives.
Diablo 4is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
