For example, ahorse glitch inThe Last of Us 2saw the animal flying into the air, lifting Ellie and Dina up with it. This bug was found at the start of Seattle Day 1, which is the same place where a player recently had a hilarious tumble as Ellie.

The fall in question happened inThe Last of Us 2’s open world-like area, and many players will likely be able to recognize where in Downtown Seattle it takes place. While there are several things to do in the explorable location, one option players have is to jump over to a firetruck. Unfortunately for Reddit user elliemcm7, they fail to make this jump, and the timing could not have been funnier.
AfterEllieclimbs on top of a truck, she tells Dina it will be an “easy jump” to reach the other side. Instantly after uttering these words, she falls off the truck and all the way down to the ground below. The scream Ellie lets out and the faceplant when she hits the floor only add to the humorous moment, with her cocky attitude and the player’s misstep happening at the perfect time. With over 1,000 upvotes since it was first posted, the game’s fan base clearly appreciates the funny clip.
As mentioned in the comments, elliemcm7 simply forgot to press the jump button, which is what resulted in Ellie’s perfectly timed stumble. As for the other comments, a majority were clever jokes. Reddit user DennisOfViltrum, for example, joked that Ellie had to sacrifice her jumping ability to learn how to swim. Others compared the moment to a stunt from theJackassfranchise, while sakthi-sn shared that they tragically ruined theirGrounded Permadeath runby failing to make this jump. While the timing in this clip is hilarious, it seems like several people have accidentally fallen to their death in this area.
WithThe Last of Us Factionsin the worksand a remake of the original game rumored, fans of the series should have plenty of opportunities for funny clips like this one going forward. For those that plan on jumping to the firetruck in Downtown Seattle, though, being extra careful would be wise.
