This number is without including the release ofHogwarts Legacyon PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, so fans can expect this total to go higher in the coming weeks.Hogwarts Legacyspent a considerable amount of time at the top of sales rankings, but it eventually got outsold by popular multiplayer games and new blockbuster releases. Now, a new sales chart sees the return ofHogwarts Legacyto the top, dethroningStar Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The recent release of thePS4 and Xbox One versions ofHogwarts Legacycontributed to its final rankings, although they were not anywhere near its sales numbers at launch. Still, the report mentions that the release ofHogwarts Legacyon previous generation consoles is the fourth-biggest launch in the UK, behindStar Wars Jedi: SurvivorandResident Evil 4.
Hogwarts Legacyfans should note that this data is based on physical game sales in the UK, so the rankings can be different with digital sales included.Star Wars Jedi: Survivorwas the second best-selling game in the UK last week, with a drop of 68% from its launch. Single-player games tend to face a hard drop-off after the initial launch, so theseStar Wars Jedi: Survivornumbers are following a similar trend.
It does seem likeStar Wars Jedi: Survivorhas also been a hit, with launch sales being up 30% when compared toStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The top 10 best-selling games in the UK last week also includeMario Kart 8 Deluxe,FIFA 23,WWE 2K23, andGrand Theft Auto 5among others. It’ll be interesting to see howStar Wars Jedi: Survivorfares next week, assuming that sales ofHogwarts Legacyon PS4 and Xbox One may face a similar drop-off.
Hogwarts Legacyis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Switch version coming July 25.
