Recently,prominent leaker hsr_stuff2, per Stepleaker, revealed that the long-awaited character, theStellaron Hunter Sam, will be making his debut in Version 2.0. Although it was believed that Sam would be a playable character like his colleagues Kafka, Blade, and Silver Wolf, it’s said that he will be a boss enemy in the future update.
The leaker didn’t divulge other details regarding the boss battle, but manyHonkai: Star Railfans expressed their excitement over the news. One said that they were expecting Sam to be a challenging foe, while another predicted that he would be stronger than Svarog. Meanwhile, others seemed disappointed that Sam might not be a playable character, especially since there were rumors that a future character named Firefly would be his companion. This would mean they might have a similar dynamic as Clara having Svarog attack for her.
Sam is currently an NPC inHonkai: Star Rail’s story but has been mentioned in conversations with the Stellaron Hunters. His identity had been shrouded in mystery since the game came out, with many fans even speculating that he could be Sampo in disguise. Last August,Honkai: Star Railrevealed Sam’s armored appearancein Kafka’s cinematic, along with a black cat who’s believed to be their leader Elio.
