Another method of obtaining Rubies is by taking on a Stone Talus. When defeated, this enemy has the same item drops as an Ore Deposit, along with a Stone Talus Heart, but offers a larger quantity than a single deposit would. Players confident in their combat skillsshould track down a Talus and crack it open for gems.
Uses for Rubies
Rubies are imbued with the elemental power of fire, so attaching them to a weapon with Fuse will create a weapon that hurls out fireballs. Alternatively, a Ruby arrow will cause a massive fire explosion on impact, which makes them very effective at dealing damage to large groups. Like the other gems, Rubies sell for a lot,soTOTKplayers in need of Rupees can always offload their Rubies. Rubies can be sold in packs of 10 to Ramella in Goron City for a larger profit when she asks for them (She changes what she is looking for periodically), and they are also used as upgrade materials for several armor pieces.
