Match 8 ofWWE 2K23’sShowcase Modeis called A Revolutionary Cashing In and focuses on the unforgettable 2006 New Year’s Revolution event. As the title of the match might suggest, this is whenEdge decided to make history by cashing in his Money in the Bank contractto take advantage of a weakened John Cena, who had just taken part in a brutal 6-man Elimination Chamber match.

Unlikethe previous Showcase Mode match between Edge and John Cena, this one is incredibly short, with only four different objectives for players to complete. It just so happens that there are four rewards available too, these being the Edge ‘06 and John Cena ‘06unlockable Superstars, the New Year’s Revolution ‘06 Arena, and New Year’s Revolution Attire for Lita ‘06.

Edge rushed right at me, unloading with 2 Heavy Combos in the ring!
Perform any two Heavy Combos while both Superstars are in the ring. To check Edge’s moves,WWE 2K23players can pause the game and head to the COMBOS menu.
He hit me with a huge Spear in the ring, and my vision started to tunnel!
With at least one bar of the Finisher meter filled and Cena standing in the ring, run toward him and then press either R2 + X (PlayStation) or RT + A (Xbox) to perform a Spear.
One wasn’t enough, though. So Edge sized me up one more time, and came at me with another Spear in the ring!
As with the previous objective, players simply need to run toward Cena while he is standing in the ring and then press either R2 + X (PlayStation) or RT + A (Xbox). This will only work, however, if players have filled at least one bar of the Finisher meter.
And then he tried to Win the Match with a Pinfall!
With Cena on the ground in the ring, flick the right analog stick down to perform a Pin. To save time, players can initiate a Pin by flicking the analog stick down while Edge is performing the Spear, though, depending onthe difficulty setting that players have chosen, they may need to inflict a bit more damage in order to secure a three-count.
