How to Use the Mirrorgun in Ready or Not
To use the Mirrorgun, all you need to do ispoint it at the bottom of a dooruntil acontextual promptappears. Then,press LMBto slide the Mirrorgun’s camera through the gap in the floor, and you’ll automatically start viewing things from the gadget’s perspective. The camera can be pannedonly to a limited degree, but this is enough to let players see if there’s a grenade attached to a tripwire by the door frame.
You don’t strictly have to use the Mirrorgun to see what’s behind doors. It can also be used to safely peek corners. This tactic is especially useful when the squad ispinned behind a door,and a suspect is shooting at them from an unknown angle. Think of the Mirrorgun like aperiscope, and you’ll unlock a whole new world of possibilities.
Keep in mind that the Mirrorgun cannot be used on all doors. you’re able to’t use the camera to see through doors that have thegaps beneath them covered. If the contextual prompt on doors does not appear, you’ll have to get information on the room through other means.
Players don’t necessarily need an OptiWand to complete a mission, especially if the scenario calls for it.Active shooter situations demand speedand efficiency above all else, so it might be better to bring in ashieldinstead or rely on superior breaching tactics.
There are no real downsides to bringing a Mirrorgun apart from slowing the team down.
