Since releasing in early access, Endnight Games’Sons of the Forestquickly became popular, with fans loving the AI companion Kelvin so much that one person felt it was necessary to spawn more than a few helpful NPCs. It’s been one of themost anticipated horror games of 2023so far, which is impressive seeing as there are quite a lot of AAA releases vying for attention. It’s nice to see an indie title making an impact, even if a lot of that reason is because of the AI.

As beloved as he is,Sons of Forest’s Kelvin can also be a bit of a hazard. With the game still in development, the studio is continuing to work on the finished product, which means there are bound to be some hiccups here and there. Although the mute and brain-damaged character has been seen knocking down player bases without considering the consequences, his blunders are part of what makes him so loveable. He still has his uses, of course, which is why one player decided to multiply him.

Reddit user x9Wildcard felt they needed an extra dose of Kelvin, so they went ahead and spawned several of him. A brief clip from theirSons of the Forestplaythrough shows several copies of the NPC on the beach, gathering logs and just generally wandering around. The user was also curious about how many Kelvins it takes to build a treehouse, so another clip shows a bunch of them being put to work. For those who want to be able to clone the companion, a report from PC Gamer points to modder CallMeSlinky, who has made such a thing possible by enabling debug mode in the console.

Kelvin has no doubt become the star of the show, but the game is still successful in its own right. The fact thatSons of the Forestwas the most wishlisted game on Steambefore release, knocking Bethesda’s highly anticipatedStarfieldfrom its top spot, shows just how much hype there was for the indie horror title. Since it came out,SotFhas enjoyed a decent amount of exposure and popularity.

However, such days don’t last forever, evidenced by the fact thatSons of the Forestis no longer the top-selling game on Steam, but the fact that it was at the number one spot at all is remarkably impressive. The hype may be dying down, but many fans will continue to keep Kelvin’s hands busy for a good while, especially when the full release launches.
