On the run, Noa has to save her father and his work before it is too late. That’s a very simple explanation ofJack Move’splot, but there is a lot more to this game. Is this a turn-based RPG that is going to excite fans of the genre? It’s time to get the lowdown along with some easy tips.
6A Twist On Difficulties
There are no preset difficulties in the game. Instead, there are two big options in the menu that can help beginners out in a pinch, sort oflike assist optionsin other games. At any time outside of battle, players can pop into the menu and turn on the Quick Victory option. This will add a new attack choice in battles that will allow players to skip combat and still get rewarded with traditional RPG elements like experience points and items.
There is another feature in the options menu that will guarantee perfect Jack Moves. A Jack Move is sort of like a limit break in the Final Fantasy games that builds up over time. Performing them requires players to sync their attacks to buttons like ina rhythm game. A perfect score guarantees better results whereas getting anything less than perfect will result in weaker attacks. Be sure to try these two options out in a pinch.

5When To Use Jack Moves
On the subject of Jack Moves, players have to be careful about when they use them. The first attack players get will be a lightning strike that can hit every enemy on the screen. If the player is outnumbered with not a whole lot of health left, that’s when an attack like this should be used.

The more players use a Jack Move, or a special attack, then the stronger they become. These abilities level up right alongside the player character, Noa. So, players need to be diligent about using Jack Moves and special attacks. Just ensure to go into a boss with the Jack Move meter charged up. Beginninga boss battlein any game with a strong attack like a Jack Move is a basic strategy that will get positive results.
4Turning Random Encounters On/Off
There is another option in the game that is an assist feature in theory.Jack Movefeatures random battleslike old-school RPGsfrom the 80s and 90s. This goes against modern design philosophies, but the good news is that random battles can be adjusted. There are four options in the game that will unlock after the first dungeon.
Three of them adjust how many monsters will attack and how often. The fourth option turns off random encounters completely. It’s a good idea to turn off random encounters completely while exploring new areas. Turn them back on, to the max, around a pop machine. This device will recharge all meters, which means it is the perfect resource to use to level up fast without having to rely on items to heal.

3Leveling Up Software
As previously mentioned, abilities level up if they are used often enough. The best time to level up abilities is around pop machines as well. Instead of using regular attacks, always use some kind of special ability in battle. It doesn’t matter how weak the enemy is. Just blast them with attacks like Glitch, which is the first skill unlocked.
The second skill is called Intravene which is a healing ability. This may seem monotonous evenfor an RPGthat requires grinding, but players should rotate around these two abilities in the early hours ofJack Move. Attack an enemy with Glitch, which could then cause players to suffer damage in retaliation. Heal, then attack with Glitch again, and repeat. After battles, heal at the pop machine and start it up again. It’s a great way to power-level skills early on in the game.

2Be Sure To Explore Every Nook And Cranny
There are chests hidden around every corner in the game. Sometimes they are obvious while other times they can barely be seen. Be sure to check around every nook and cranny in a room before moving on. This goes for the hub town as well which features some key chests early on.

If a chest looks unreachable, be sure to make a note of it to come back later. Take a screenshot using the console’s native buttons, like on the Switch. Alternatively, players can jot down a digital note on a phone. Combining these two ideas could result in a better note-taking system that could be helpful for any game, especiallyin an RPGwith many winding paths.
1Save Often
One of the most crucial things to impress upon players is that they should save often. There are three save slots inJack Move, which can be used in the same game. It would be better if there were more saving opportunities but three is better than one. Now, saving the game will checkpoint progress immediately where players stop which is handy fora portable RPG.
This means players can pop in for a few minutes and pop out at their leisure without having to worry about losing progress. That’s why manual saving is such a precious commodity and each skit should be used in rotation. Not every game has this option which is bad especially if the game is buggy. No one wants to lose data to a bug that corrupts one file. A backup is an extra piece of security to make sure those tears never fall.

Jack Movewas originally released on July 11, 2025, on PC. It was later released for PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
