While the story trailer has a lot to unpack, the main takeaway is that fans can expect to playLike a Dragon: Infinite Wealthwhen it launches on June 08, 2025. The trailer revealed thatIchiban will make his way to Hawaiiin order to find his mother, who was previously assumed to have been killed by the Yakuza. It also gave the startling confirmation that Kazuma has cancer.

The turn-based RPG will feature Ichiban and Kazuma asdual protagonists with a variety of characters, both new and returning, as party members. Just the same on the opposing side, there will be new and returning factions like the Chinese Mafia and the Barracudas, who are targeting Akane, Ichiban’s mother. The trailer shows Ichiban and Kasuga taking on a variety of enemies, including a giant shark and squid. Fan-favorite mini-games like karaoke also seem to be making a return. The trailer was the perfect blend as it hit all the tones that give Yakuza games their distinctive feel.
