Twitchstreamer Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo recently revealed the best streaming advice he’d gotten from friend and fellow streamer Pokimane.Mizkif has gone through many controversiesthroughout his streaming career, which made him more stressed out in the process.

Last year, Mizkif was in hot water afterAdrianah Lee accused him of covering up the sexual assaultshe experienced at the hands of another streamer. He apologized for downplaying the situation, but his content group One True King (OTK) suspended him from his duties for a few months. He was later reinstated in the group after an investigation found that he didn’t attempt to cover up the sexual assault incident.

Now that Mizkif is back streaming onTwitchregularly, he is sometimes candid about the stress he experiences as a streamer. In a recent Q&A YouTube video titled “Let’s Talk,” he talked about the pressure of entertaining thousands of people and having to deal with mean comments, among others, as factors contributing to his stress and slight annoyance over his job as a content creator. But amid his struggles, Pokimane advised Mizkif to keep building a strong shield against negativity, which he’s kept in mind as he continues growing OTK and his personal career.

Mizkif also expressed in the video that he wanted to explore other opportunities outside of streaming, like starting a podcast and moving to Los Angeles to work with other content creators. In the YouTube comments, many viewers expressed their support and excitement for the streamer’s future plans, also offering suggestions on podcast formats and topics. There were also people who empathized with him, noting that they’ve seen many creators getting burnt out because of the pressures of being a streamer.

Mizkif isn’t the first streamer and content creator who’s expressed intent to do projects beyond streaming. Pokimane, who recently graduated from content group OfflineTV, has been busy pursuing other projects and endorsements outside of streaming. More recently,Ludwig Ahgren teased his streaming retirement, and his plans to work behind the camera and open his own bakery.

Being a Twitch streamer definitely isn’t easy as many receive insults and troll comments in their chat, and evenexperience getting swattedor stalked in their homes. A lot of times, their viewers also get to see these unfortunate events unfold live on their channels. It’s a taxing career, so it’s pretty understandable why streamers like Mizkif would want to step away from it when the time comes.
