Exploring the map is one of the most crucial parts of the gameplay found inGenshin Impact. Long climbs and breathtaking scenery makes it more than apparent that every part of the game was designed to be absolutely beautiful.

Genshin Impactupdates often bring new maps parts of maps to be explored. While most new exploration points are permanent, there were a couple of limited events that brought new locations that were limited to that update like the popular Golden Apple Archipelago activity back in update 1.6.

Two of the game’s biggest assets are probablyuniqueGenshin Impactcharacter designsand the gorgeous parts of the map. The world that serves Gesnhin Impact is named Teyvat and there outside the current explorable areas, there is no official information about its content. However, multiple leaks have hinted on what the map may look like.

The shocking thing about this map leak is certainly its size considering that the three current main regions of Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma take around 10% of the whole map. After multiple “filler updates”, Genshin Impact update 2.0 has been the turning point as it introduced thelong-awaited islands of Inazuma. Each new update after 2.0 has brought a new island that suited the flow of the main story quest. The explorable part of the game could be vastly expanded in the future which would surely cause headaches for all the mobile players out there.

RecentGenshin Impact rumorswere speculating that the upcoming region to be added will be the long-waited Chasm, which is already present on thecurrent in-game map of Teyvat. However, it seems as though miHoYo’s plans have changed and the arrival of Chasm has been delayed once again. Still, players will be able to explore a completely different region by the name Enkanomiya. A post on theGenshin ImpactLeaks subreddit has revealed that the region will work similarly to the limited Archipelago region players had the chance to explore in update 1.6.

TheGenshin Impact1.6 Golden Apple Archipelago region brought a fresh new experience that brought back one of the game’s main draws which is exploration. Running around, finding secrets, and exploring the story behind the islands was some of the most enjoyable content players have experienced in the game so far. This region introduced the game’s first costumes as well asthe first Klee banner re-run. The Archipelago islands were accessible only by using a special type of transport which was a small ship. This travel system could be used in the upcoming Enkanomiya region which would make sense since, to travel to Inazuma, players need to set sail.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version in development.
