Rockstar Gameshas had a bizarre 24 hours, with the company accidentally removing a handful of its games from Steam and mistakenlyrelistingMidnight Club 2on the digital storefront, leading many to buy copies of the classic racing title before it was pulled. Although it’s unclear exactly what was going on, it seems tinkering behind the scenes has resulted in updates for two of its games.

LA NoireandMax Payne 3have received patches to make their line-up of additional DLC content entirely free for Steam players. Alongside the change, Rockstar has also used the patch to end both game’s support on 32-bit operating systems. It’s worth noting that those changes don’t apply toLA Noire: The VR Case Files.

It’s another surprising move fromRockstarfollowing its recent activity on Steam, but one that’s welcome among both games' fans. The pair each offer an array of DLC for users to enjoy, although the news is a little less exciting forMax Payne 3fans. A lot of the added content for the high-octane action sequel was based in its multiplayer mode, which currently doesn’t boast a huge number of players.

LA Noire,on the other hand, offers entirely single-player DLC, with its additional content including fun cosmetics and new cases that are sure to offer long-time fans something to go back to. While several of the title’s add-ons focus on adding suits for Cole to wear on his adventures, there are also five new mysteries to solve spanning each of the game’s departments. In traffic, there’s both the “A Slip of the Tongue” and “The Consul’s Car” cases, meanwhile Vice has “The Naked City” and “Reefer Madness,” and Arson has “Nicholson Electroplating.” It should be enough content to warrant a revisit of Rockstar’s detective game, especially for those who never got a chance to jump into the additional cases at release.

Outside of its alterations toLA NoireandMax Payne 3, Rockstar has been keeping itself busy, producing an array of content forGrand Theft Auto OnlineandRed Dead Online. The latter recently got new bonuses for free-roam events and missions, while the former continues to get regular community events such as its recent stunt week.Rockstar Gamesis also hard at work on are-release ofGrand Theft Auto 5for next-generation platforms, with publisher Take-Two promising the new addition won’t just be a simple port.
